Ouvert à toutes et tous de façon inconditionnelle, le Moulin à Café est l'un des premiers cafés associatifs de Paris, créé en 2006 par les habitants du quartier Pernety (Paris 14e). Il est géré sous forme associative avec les habitants, les salariés et les associations partenaires.
Espace de vie sociale à vocation culturelle et intergénérationnelle, les usagers trouvent ici de la compagnie et des rencontres humaines, le temps d’un repas, d’un concert, d’une conférence ou d'un ciné-débat.
Notre objectif est de construire des liens, de proposer des activités pour rompre l’isolement, de favoriser les échanges et permettre les rencontres dans la mixité, de favoriser l'inclusion des personnes en situation de handicap, afin de partager ensemble les richesses de chacun au quotidien.
Le Moulin à Café s'inscrit ainsi dans une démarche d'éducation populaire, d'économie sociale et solidaire, mais aussi d'écologie urbaine, avec la mise en place d’une démarche zéro déchet, de recyclage, de réemploi, de restauration bio et d'approvisionnements en circuits courts.
