After the publication in 2008 of a regional scenario for the exit from nuclear and the fight against climate change entitled Energies of the Future in Nord-Pas de Calais (EUROSOLAR 2008 Prize), the association published in 2013 its scenarios of energy sobriety and societal transformations, developed thanks to the support of ADEME and the regional council of Nord-Pas de Calais in partnership CERAPS from Lille 2 University and the Lille 1 University TVE laboratory.
In 2016, it carried out various tools on energy sobriety and published the study Better living in Nord-Pas de Calais: for an energy turn and societal transformations, which explores at the horizons 2025 and 2050 the deposits of energy and jobs and associated with deep changes of lifestyles and economic and social organizations.
The association is currently working on supporting local authorities in the implementation of local sobriety public policies and leads prospective workshops.
Energy turn is today a recognized player in energy/climate issues and is part of the Action CLIMAT-FRANCE network, the Cler-Réseau for the energy transition, and two regional awareness-raising networks of environmental issues as those the Regional Environment and Solidarity House (MRS) and the Dunkirk Environment House.

Dans une logique d’anticipation et d’adaptation au dérèglement climatique, l’association Virage Energie propose des pistes d’actions organisationnelles, comportementales et techniques pour une transition vers un modèle de société soutenable.
Spécialisée dans la prospective énergétique et sociétale, Virage Energie réalise et met en débat des outils de sensibilisation et d’aide à la décision publique pour limiter l’utilisation d’énergie et de ressources naturelles de nos modes de consommation, de production et d’échange actuels.
L’association a été créée en 2006. Après la publication en 2008 d’un scénario régional de sortie du nucléaire et de lutte contre le dérèglement climatique intitulé Énergies d’avenir en Nord-Pas de Calais (prix Eurosolar 2008), l’association a publié en 2013 ses Scénarios de sobriété énergétique et transformations sociétales, élaborés grâce au soutien de l’ADEME et du Conseil Régional du Nord-Pas de Calais en partenariat avec le laboratoire Ceraps de l’université Lille 2 et le laboratoire TVES de l’université Lille 1.
En 2016, elle réalise divers outils sur la sobriété énergétique et publie l’étude Mieux vivre en Nord-Pas de Calais : pour un virage énergétique et des transformations sociétales, qui explore aux horizons 2025 et 2050 les gisements d’économies d’énergie et d’emplois et associés à des changements profonds de modes de vie et d’organisations économiques et sociales.
L’association travaille actuellement à l’accompagnement de collectivités territoriales dans la mise en place de politiques publiques de sobriété locale et anime des ateliers de prospective.
Virage Energie est aujourd’hui un acteur reconnu des questions énergie/climat et fait partie du Réseau Action Climat-France, du CLER-Réseau pour la transition énergétique, et de deux réseaux régionaux de sensibilisation aux questions environnementales que ceux la Maison Régionale de l’Environnement et des Solidarités (MRES) et la Maison de l’Environnement de Dunkerque.
