Founded in 1945, CARE is one of the world’s leading humanitarian organizations. It is non-partisan and non-sectarian. In 2017, CARE worked in 92 countries and reached over 63 million people around the world. In its emergency response and long-term development programs, CARE seeks to fight underlying causes of poverty.
CARE places special focus on working alongside poor girls and women because, equipped with the proper resources, they have the power to lift whole families and entire communities out of poverty.

Fondé en 1945, CARE est l'un des plus grands réseaux humanitaires mondiaux, apolitique et non confessionnel. Sa mission est de lutter contre l'extrême pauvreté.
CARE met en place des projets d’urgence et de développement dans des domaines complémentaires les uns des autres : éducation, sécurité alimentaire, santé, développement économique... Cette approche globale répond aux besoins les plus vitaux des communautés tout en défendant le respect des droits humains de manière durable. CARE met les femmes et les filles, qui sont les premières victimes de la pauvreté et également des actrices du changement, au cœur de toutes ses actions. En 2023, CARE était présent dans 109 pays et a soutenu 166 millions de bénéficiaires.
L’ONG CARE France est membre du réseau CARE International. CARE France intervient dans une trentaine de pays et a la charge managériale des bureaux du Liban, du Cameroun et de Madagascar. Le volume annuel de ressources est de 68 M€. L’équipe présente à Paris regroupe une soixantaine de personnes.
