L'Atelier Emmaüs est une menuiserie d'agencement qui milite pour l'insertion sociale et professionnelle par le design et l'artisanat. Nos artisans-apprenant fabriquent des objets et meubles conçus par des designers dans une logique esthétique, écologique et surtout pédagogique.
Le Design - Parce que nous croyons que le beau aide à la résilience, nos artisans-apprenants fabriquent uniquement des objets et meubles de design contemporain.
L'Économie des ressources naturelles - Les meubles de notre gammes sont conçu uniquement à partir de bois destiné au rebut.
La Formation - Chaque objet fabriqué s'inscrit ainsi dans un parcours de formation à la menuiserie-ébénisterie.
Notre parcours de formation-production prend la forme de 3 activités distinctes :
- Maison d'édition de mobilier de design contemporain : conçu par des designers pour être support de formation, ces meubles permettent aux artisans-apprenants d'apprendre les gestes métier progressivement, chacun à son rythme. Ils sont entièrement fabriqués à partir de matière destinée au rebut.
- Menuiserie d'agencement pour des professionnels : nous intégrons le design sur-mesure, la fabrication et la pose. Tous les projets servent l'impact social en devenant le support de formation pour les artisans apprenants.
- Ateliers de fabrication collaborative, organisés en collaboration avec des bailleurs sociaux : en animant ces ateliers, les artisans-apprenants se mettent en position de transmettre leur acquis auprès du public.
