Le CREA Mont-Blanc est une ONG scientifique dont la mission est d’explorer et comprendre l’impact du changement climatique sur la biodiversité et de partager ces connaissances afin d’aider décideurs et citoyens à mieux agir.
Massif de notoriété mondiale, le Mont-Blanc est en effet un vecteur puissant de compréhension du changement climatique et de ses conséquences. Fort de sa triple expertise en écologie alpine, data science et science participative, le CREA Mont-Blanc fédère un vaste réseau de chercheurs français, suisses et italiens travaillant en lien étroit avec les décideurs du territoire. Il a développé un observatoire participatif de la biodiversité de montagne et du changement climatique, accessible à tous. Cet observatoire est porté notamment par des partenariats technologiques innovants pour la collecte, la préservation et la diffusion de données sur le climat, les espèces et les paysages.
Le CREA Mont-Blanc est animé par une équipe de passionnés, qui réinvente l’aventure scientifique, humaine et technologique du Mont-Blanc, et est reconnu par les Nations-Unies (lauréat 2017 Momentum for Change).
Pour soutenir nos projets, nous pouvons compter sur nos partenaires publics et privés, ainsi que sur les fonds européens : ainsi le projet HerbiLand, qui étudier la dynamique des populations d’ongulés sauvages en milieu supra-forestier, est financé par les fonds européens FEDER Massif Alpes 2021-2027.
