Notre syndicat professionnel s’est progressivement développé en même temps que se multipliaient les appareils de « transport par câble », et les pistes de ski desservies. Son histoire est intimement liée au développement économique et touristique de la montagne. Aujourd’hui il fédère 412 adhérents répartis entre 238 membres actifs (opérateurs de remontées mécaniques ou de domaines skiables), et environ 175 membres correspondants (fournisseurs, constructeurs, centres de formation, maîtres d’œuvre...).
En tant que syndicat professionnel national, Domaines Skiables de France informe et représente les entreprises de remontées mécaniques et domaines skiables. Notre rôle est marqué dans le champ social (où nous négocions la convention collective avec les syndicats de salariés), dans le champ technique et de la sécurité (où nous sommes les interlocuteurs des pouvoirs publics), et dans le champ économique, juridique et environnemental où nous sommes force de conseils et de propositions.
