L'UNAF a engagé depuis les années 1990 un combat sans précédent contre les pesticides, cause prépondérante du déclin des pollinisateurs, et en particulier contre les néonicotinoïdes.
Nous travaillons pour protéger les apiculteurs contre les menaces environnementales des abeilles : frelon asiatique, perte de biodiversité, dérèglement climatique, etc.
Nous menons des actions spécifiques pour valoriser la qualité et la diversité des productions apicoles françaises au travers du Concours des miels de France et de nos actions pour renforcer la transparence sur l'étiquetage du miel.
Depuis 2005, nous sommes les initiateurs et les animateur d'un programme d'ampleur nationale pour sensibiliser partenaires publics et privés au rôle essentiel de l'Abeille. Il s'agit de notre programme "Abeille, sentinelle de l'environnement" qui a chaque année pour point d'orgue les journées "APIdays", pour célébrer ces beaux partenariats et nos chères abeilles.
