The Markle Foundation works to realize the potential of technology to achieve breakthroughs in addressing some of the nation’s most pressing issues. Markle challenges itself and diverse partners to deploy their varied expertise to identify solutions and achieve systemic change. Most recently, Markle led The Rework America Alliance, a unique partnership of civil rights organizations, nonprofits, private sector employers, labor unions, educators, and others, works to help millions of unemployed individuals and those in low-wage roles to move into better jobs. The focus of the Alliance is to help people who have built capabilities through experience but do not have a bachelor’s degree.
