Das UN Global Compact Netzwerk Deutschland (UN GCD) ist das Netzwerk der deutschen Teilnehmer des UN Global Compact, der Initiative der Vereinten Nationen zur Förderung von nachhaltiger und verantwortungsvoller Unternehmensführung. Der UN Global Compact richtet sich primär an Unternehmen und relevante Akteure aus Zivilgesellschaft, Politik und Wissenschaft. Zusammen bilden sie in Deutschland ein Multistakeholder-Netzwerk mit über 400 Teilnehmern – das UN GCD.
Dem UN Global Compact liegt international und in Deutschland das Prinzip der freiwilligen Selbstverpflichtung zugrunde. Unternehmen verpflichten sich explizit dazu, universelle Grundregeln, die vielfach im nationalen Recht verankert sind, auch dort zu achten und zu fördern, wo diese nicht oder nicht vollständig umgesetzt werden. Auf dieser Grundlage sollen Unternehmen mit Unterstützung zivilgesellschaftlicher Organisationen, öffentlicher Institutionen und anderer wichtiger Stakeholder zu einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung weltweit beitragen.
Die Schwerpunktthemen der Netzwerkarbeit orientieren sich an den 10 Prinzipien des UN Global Compact:

- Umweltschutz
- Korruptionsprävention
Hinzu kommen als managementbezogene Querschnittsthemen:
- Veränderungsmanagement
- Lieferkettenmanagement

Das Netzwerk arbeitet als umsetzungsorientierte Lern- und Dialogplattform, stellt Informationen und Instrumente zur Verfügung, fördert die Verbreitung guter Beispiele und bietet einen Rahmen für vertrauensvollen Austausch zwischen den Teilnehmern.
