The cluster of the automotive industry of Catalonia is a non -profit association, open to companies linked to the automotive sector based in Catalonia and that have R&D activity.
The main objective of the CIAC is to promote the competitiveness of the car industry, considered as an essential engine of the Catalan economy. To this end, a strategic plan has been developed with short, medium and long term defined goals, thus ensuring the development in the new global industrial framework.
The CIAC works to increase the competitiveness of the automotive sector and to launch projects that can be done and successful. El Clúster de la Indústria de l’Automoció de Catalunya és una associació sense ànim de lucre, oberta a les empreses vinculades al sector de l’automoció amb seu a Catalunya i que tinguin activitat d’R+D+I.
El principal objectiu del CIAC és impulsar la competitivitat de la indústria de l'automòbil, considerada com a motor essencial de l'economia catalana. Amb aquest propòsit, s'ha elaborat un pla estratègic amb objectius definits a curt, mitjà i llarg termini, assegurant així el desenvolupament en el nou marc industrial global.
En el CIAC es treballa per augmentar la competitivitat del Sector de l'Automoció i per engegar projectes que es puguin realitzar i tenir èxit. És per això, que existeixen comissions formades per diferents empreses sòcies on poden treballar conjuntament CREANT, INNOVANT, ORGANITZANT, COMPETINT, PRODUINT... Per tal d'arribar a ser més forts, més productius i més capdavanters individualment i conjuntament dins del SECTOR.
