İstanbul Technical University Faculty of Electrical and Electronics, Founded in 1992, IEEEE student branch is working with 7 committees, technical and career-oriented. Members can continue their personal development with ITU IEEE family by working in the committees or committees they want according to their interests. Members can specialize in their fields with technical trainings, projects and research, while developing their skills such as teamwork, asking awareness, coordination and speaking in front of the community. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, kısaca IEEE, 1884 yılından beri faaliyet gösteren; mühendis, bilimadamı ve öğrencilerin oluşturduğu dünyanın en geniş teknik topluluğudur.
IEEE, 6'sı Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nde olmak üzere 10 bölgede çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. IEEE Türkiye Afrika, Avrupa ve Ortadoğu'yu kapsayan 8. Bölge'de (Region 8) bulunur. 50'den fazla üniversitede aktif olarak çalışan öğrenci kolları her yaz IEEE Türkiye Öğrenci Kolları Kongresi'nde ve ara tatil dönemlerinde IEEE Başkanlar Kurultayı'nda toplanır, bilgi ve tecrübelerini paylaşır.
İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Elektrik-Elektronik Fakültesi'nde, 1992 yılında kurulan İTÜ IEEE Öğrenci Kolu ise teknik ve kariyer odaklı olmak üzere 7 komitesiyle çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Üyeler, ilgi alanlarına göre istedikleri komite veya komitelerde çalışarak kişisel gelişimlerini İTÜ IEEE ailesiyle birlikte sürdürebilirler. Üyeler takım çalışması, sormluluk bilinci, koordinasyon sağlama ve topluluk önünde konuşma gibi yeteneklerini geliştirirken teknik eğitimler, projeler ve araştırmalarla kendi alanlarında uzmanlaşabilirler. İTÜ IEEE şirketler ile öğrenciler arasında bir köprü olma görevini öğrencilerin yararını gözeterek sürdürmektedir.
Üyelerinden aldığı güç ile İTÜ IEEE, her sene biraz daha büyüyerek sınırlarını zorlayan bir ailedir. Bu ailenin bize kattığı değerlerin en önemlisi de kurulan arkadaşlıklardır. Bizler bu kocaman ailenin gücüne inanıyoruz. Etkinliklerimizi ve çalışmalarımızı takip etmeye devam edin.
