• Teachers of the Lyon 2 University 2, which are part of different disciplines of human and social sciences: management sciences, economics, sociology and anthropology ...
• About fifty representatives of organizations, belonging to the various fields of ESS: associations, cooperatives, mutuals, foundations, ESS business companies
• The 70 Master students trained each year as part of the ESS mention of the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management of the Lyon 2 University.
** A space for creating new knowledge by joint work
-The pulpit contributes to the formulation, critical analysis and support for the issues that ESS organizations are faced, in particular within its working groups.
- It distributes and values the knowledge produced, in particular via the Tuesdays of the ESS and the notebooks of the Chair.

Un espace de production de connaissances critiques au service d'une transformation sociale.
La chaire est un espace d'interactions entre acteurs et actrices de l'ESS, chercheur·es et étudiant·es. Elle est au service de la recherche, de la formation, de la promotion et du développement de l'ESS.
**Pourquoi une chaire d'économie sociale et solidaire ?**
Pour faire face aux enjeux économiques, sociaux et environnementaux actuels, nous devons transformer nos modes d’entreprendre et de développement économique pour intégrer des considérations écologique, sociale et démocratique.
Cette transformation nécessite que nous renforcions notre capacité à travailler ensemble et coopérer pour faire émerger de nouvelles formes organisationnelles, de management et de gouvernance.
Avec la chaire d’ESS, nous avons l’ambition de participer au débat scientifique et social relatif à l’économie sociale et solidaire et plus largement au·x modèles économique·s et entrepreneurial à promouvoir.
**Pour réaliser sa mission la chaire associe :
•des enseignant·es-chercheur·es de l’Université Lumière Lyon 2, qui relèvent de différentes disciplines de Sciences Humaines et Sociales : Sciences de Gestion, Économie, Sociologie et Anthropologie...
•une cinquantaine de représentant·es d’organisations, appartenant aux différents champs de l’ESS : associations, coopératives, mutuelles, fondations, sociétés commerciales de l'ESS
•les 70 étudiant·es de master formé·es chaque année dans le cadre de la mention ESS de la faculté de Sciences Économiques et de Gestion de l’Université Lyon 2.
**Un espace de création de nouvelles connaissances par du travail en commun
-La chaire participe à la formulation, l'analyse critique et l'accompagnement des problématiques auxquelles les organisations de l’ESS sont confrontées, notamment au sein de ses groupes de travail.
- Elle diffuse et valorise les connaissances produites, notamment via les Mardis de l'ESS et les Carnets de la Chaire.
-Ses activités sont en lien étroit avec les parcours de Master de la mention ESS (projets pédagogiques communs...).
