The Institute of Land Transition is an association law 1901, founded on the initiative of public, scientific and private actors, aimed at bringing together a sector around the land transition. L’Institut de la Transition Foncière est une association loi 1901, fondée à l’initiative d’acteurs publics, scientifiques et privés, ayant pour objectif de réunir une filière autour de la transition foncière. Il s’agit de replacer la préservation des sols vivants au centre des politiques publiques, des pratiques opérationnelles, ainsi que dans la société civile. L'Institut est un lieu de rassemblement et d’élaboration sur ces questions au niveau local et national. L’Institut a pour objet de :
1/ Favoriser la recherche appliquée sur les sols vivants et permettre un réel transfert de connaissance vers le monde opérationnel avec notamment une Chaire Transition Foncière portée en partenariat avec la Fondation Université Gustave Eiffel et l’Institut CDC pour la Recherche,
2/ Développer des outils pour la filière afin d’intégrer des standards de préservation du sol dans les pratiques opérationnelles de l’aménagement du territoire,
3/ Assurer un plaidoyer et un rôle de think-tank sur la question des sols, avec la valorisation des ressources et d'expertises sur le sujet, et l’organisation du Forum de la Transition Foncière pour rassembler la filière.
4/ Proposer des formations et solutions sur mesure en fonction des besoins identifiés par les acteurs
