Opération d'Intérêt National Nice Écovallée
Depuis 2008 et la création par l’Etat de l’Opération d’Intérêt National pour la plaine du Var, l’EPA Nice Écovallée a pour mission d’aménager 200 hectares sur les 10000 hectares que représente ce périmètre, en alliant exemplarité environnementale et développement économique. Aux côtés de ses partenaires : l’État, la Région Sud, le Département des Alpes-Maritimes, la Métropole Nice Côte d’Azur et la ville de Nice, l’EPA, acteur engagé, déploie une stratégie environnementale ambitieuse, confirmée par la création, en 2013, d’un référentiel Ecovallée Qualité.
Les objectifs de l’EPA sont de :
· Restaurer, préserver, valoriser les 10 000 ha de la Plaine du Var
· Aménager durablement ce territoire stratégique
· Impulser une dynamique économique, environnementale et sociale forte
Sept opérations d’aménagement sont en cours au sein de l’Écovallée : Nice Méridia, Parc Méridia, Grand Arénas, Lingostière Sud, Coteaux du Var, La Baronne et le Hameau de La Baronne.
