L'association Initiative Vienne a été créée sous l'impulsion du Conseil Général de la Vienne en 1997. Son action, en faveur des créateurs/repreneurs, regroupe plus de 80 partenaires économiques locaux : collectivités, entreprises, banques, des organismes professionnels et consulaires.
L'objectif est de déceler et favoriser l'initiative créatrice d'emplois sur le Département de la Vienne par l'octroi d'une aide financière, technique et humaine aux porteurs de projet.
L'initiative Vienne est membre du réseau associatif de financement et d'accompagnement des entreprises : Initiative France.
