The voice of consumer co-operatives in Europe

Euro Coop is the European Community of Consumer Co-operatives, whose members are the national organisations of consumer co-operatives in 19 European countries.

Established in 1957, Euro Coop is the first European-wide co-operative association. Today, we represent over 4,500 local and regional co-operatives, the members of which amount to more than 32 million consumers across the continent.

Primarily active in food and non-food retail, consumer co-operatives are enterprises owned by consumers. Our members employ 500,000 European citizens, working in 36,000 point of sale, which in turn realize an annual turnover of € 76 billion and rising.

The Euro Coop Secretariat is based in Brussels since 11 June, 1957.
