La Fundación Piel Sana de la AEDV es una organización sin ánimo de lucro que nace en el año 2007 impulsada por la Academia Española de Dermatología (AEDV), que es la sociedad médica a la que pertenecen la práctica totalidad de dermatólogos de nuestro país. El sentido que tiene la existencia de la Fundación es el de realizar y apoyar acciones que promuevan mejoras en la salud de la piel de la población, ya sea mediante la generación y difusión del conocimiento sobre la prevención, el diagnóstico o el tratamiento de sus enfermedades y de la mejor conservación de su salud, o mediante la realización de acciones concretas en estos sentidos. En la actualidad, la Fundación Piel sana cuenta con más de 2600 miembros, entre dermatólogos y otros profesionales sanitarios.
