Conçu comme un lieu de rassemblement et d’échanges, il réunit sur un même site la recherche fondamentale, clinique et industrielle, favorisant ainsi le partage des concepts et des techniques, la rencontre de compétences et d’expertises complémentaires et l’émergence de nouvelles pistes de recherche.
Chercheurs, médecins et industriels y travaillent de concert pour découvrir et valider ensemble de nouvelles thérapeutiques, des solutions préventives, ainsi que des technologies compensatrices des atteintes visuelles.
