Family Company of Castilla y León (EFCL) is a non -profit association constituted in June 1997 in order to defend the family businesses of Castilla y León as the engine of the productive economy and employment generators in the region.

The impulse of the FP through its EFCL Foundation, as well as commercial relations between EFCL members and other associations of national and foreign family businesses constitute other of their priorities.

Empresa Familiar de Castilla y León (EFCL) es una asociación sin ánimo de lucro constituida en junio de 1997 con el fin de defender a las empresas familiares de Castilla y León como motor de la economía productiva y generadoras de empleo en la región.
La asociación está conformada por más de 150 empresas familiares de las nueve provincias de la comunidad autónoma, todas ellas líderes en sus respectivos sectores, cuya facturación conjunta equivale al 19,5% del PIB de Castilla y León y emplean al 10,5% de la población ocupada (sector privado).
EFCL fomenta la cultura empresarial familiar y promueve la continuidad de este tipo de compañías, para lo que ha venido apostando desde su fundación por la formación de las personas relacionadas con la empresa familiar, y también por la preparación de las futuras generaciones a través del Fórum de Jóvenes EFCL y el Fórum Júnior.
Otro de los objetivos de EFCL es el fortalecimiento de la empresa familiar en la sociedad mediante la mejora de su entorno legal y fiscal y la difusión de su contribución al desarrollo de su entorno, siendo su vehículo de expresión ante la opinión pública.
De ahí la creación de iniciativas que contribuyen al reconocimiento de la figura del empresario familiar y su papel en la sociedad, como son el Premio Familia Empresaria de Castilla y León, el Congreso Regional de Empresa Familiar, y la campaña El Fruto de los Valores, con su Programa "Empresa Familiar en las aulas".
El impulso de la FP a través de su Fundación EFCL, así como de las relaciones comerciales entre los socios de EFCL y de otras asociaciones de empresas familiares nacionales y extranjeras constituyen otras de sus prioridades.
EFCL es una Asociación Territorial vinculada al Instituto de la Empresa Familiar (IEF), de ámbito nacional, con el que mantiene un contacto permanente con con el objetivo de aunar esfuerzos y fomentar el trabajo común en defensa y mejora del entorno de las empresas familiares españolas
