"Rallumons the star", wishes to bring together the Toulouse actors of mobility in a new collective approach, to obtain together a RER for our metropolis and its suburbs.
The difficulties of traveling in the agglomeration will worsen, despite the important projects carried out by the various actors (State, Region, Department, Tisséo and Toulouse Métropole).
As this exists in most European metropolises of equivalent size, it lacks a RER, complementary to the metro and TER, to irrigate and structure the large agglomeration (25 km around Matabiau) by offering a strong alternative to the car where it does not exist.
As a first step, we want to study the creation of a RER clined line every day and every hour, between Castelnau-d'Estretefonds and Baziège, in addition to existing TERs. It would already be a great advance for many inhabitants, businesses and municipalities.
Indeed, most of the necessary investments are already planned (simplification of circulation in Matabiau, improvements of small stations, new trains) or could be released (carrying out a small part of the work of the railway fittings of the North Toulouse).

« Rallumons l’Étoile », souhaite réunir les acteurs toulousain de la mobilité dans une nouvelle démarche collective, pour obtenir ensemble un RER pour notre métropole et sa banlieue.
Les difficultés de déplacements dans l’agglomération vont s’aggraver, malgré les importants projets portés par les différents acteurs (Etat, Région, Département, Tisséo et Toulouse Métropole).
Comme cela existe dans la plupart des métropoles européennes de taille équivalente, il manque un RER, complémentaire du métro et des TER, pour irriguer et structurer la grande agglomération (25 km autour de Matabiau) en offrant une alternative forte à la voiture là où cela n’existe pas.
Comme première étape, nous souhaitons étudier la création d’une ligne de RER cadencée toutes les jours et tous les heures, entre Castelnau-d’Estrétefonds et Baziège, en plus des TER existants. Ce serait déjà une avancée formidable pour de nombreux habitants, entreprises et communes.
En effet, la plupart des investissements nécessaires sont d’ores et déjà prévus (simplification des circulations à Matabiau, améliorations des petites gares, nouveaux trains) ou pourraient être débloqués (réalisation d’une petite partie des travaux des Aménagements Ferroviaires du Nord Toulousain).
