    LandschappenNL is het samenwerkingsverband van 20 Landschapsorganisaties. We behartigen de gezamenlijke belangen op provinciaal, nationaal en Europees niveau. We bundelen aandacht en inspanningen in landelijke projecten en vormen daarmee een krachtig netwerk. Om een grotere bijdrage te kunnen leveren aan de kwaliteit van landschap, natuur en erfgoed in Nederland én om de betrokkenheid van burgers te vergroten.

    De uitdagingen zijn in deze tijd groter dan ooit. De klimaatverandering, de stikstofcrisis in de landbouw, de energietransitie: stuk voor stuk ontwikkelingen die grote gevolgen hebben voor de inrichting van ons landschap. Windmolens, zonneweiden, stadsuitbreiding, snelle verbindingen en meer grond voor de landbouw: het kan niet allemaal, het kan niet allemaal op één plaats. Daarom is het nodig vooraf te bedenken wat de ambities voor het landschap zèlf zijn. Landschap is van grote waarde en vraagt om een strategisch ruimtelijk beleid.

    Naast de toegenomen druk op de buitenruimte, zien we ook aandacht en warmte van bestuurders en burgers voor het landschap. Die groeiende betrokkenheid vergroot draagvlak voor een landschapsbeleid, voor waardering van ons landschap en voor investeren in de kwaliteit van onze leefomgeving. Kwaliteit van het landschap is belangrijk voor een robuuste natuur, rijke biodiversiteit, schoon water, gezonde bodem, schone lucht, cultuur en erfgoed. Burgers hierbij blijven betrekken is waardevol.

    Samen werken aan de kwaliteit van landschap, natuur en erfgoed in Nederland. Dat is de missie van LandschappenNL.
