Mediator between cultures
AFS International is one of the world's most experienced and largest non-profit providers of youth exchange and intercultural learning. Originally founded by volunteer ambulance drivers, the American Field Service organization has grown over the past 70 years into a global community with more than 60 country organizations and partners.

The German country organization AFS Interkulturelle Begegnungen e.V. is a non-profit association and recognized as a provider of voluntary youth welfare. We see ourselves as mediators between cultures. Quality in intercultural exchange is our trademark. We guarantee this through particularly intensive support for our program participants before, during and after the exchange.
