Podcasts and events exploring how tech can be used for social good. Or at least, how it can be less bad.

We're a community organisation and aim to promote, encourage, and raise awareness of the benefits of using technology for good, how to do it right and how to act more ethically in the tech sector.

Our team isn't massive but we have a particular set of hobbies around media and events production and are all working within the tech for good sector. We've combined our various passions to create Tech for Good Live. We podcast a weekly podcast with a special guest where we talk about the latest in tech for good. We also run special series of Live podcasts in conjunction with events, some events we've worked at are UX Copenhagen, Camp Digital and Wuthering Bytes. Some guests we've had include Safiya Umoja Noble and Mike Monterio.

We also run monthy events in Manchester inviting guest speakers to talk tech for good from across sectors like gaming, health and fintech to name a few.

You’ll hear us banging on a lot about equality and diversity on the podcast, and we’re committed to promoting those same values as an organisation. To that effect, we’re currently working on an open source code of conduct. We’ll share where we’re up to as soon as we can. And we're always trying to source projects, speakers and guests from a wide variety of backgrounds.

We survive on sponsorship (if you want to sponsor us - get in touch). Our autonomy and integrity is essential to us. We’re an independent organisation - and the trust our audience places in us means a lot. We’re not affiliated with any particular political body or commercial entity, although our guests sometimes may be.
