La Fundación Consejo España China es una institución privada y sin ánimo de lucro constituida en el año 2004, cuya misión se encuadra en el ejercicio de la diplomacia pública entre nuestros dos países. En dicha misión de mejorar y difundir la imagen de España en China, colabora con la Administración, y especialmente con el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y de Cooperación, con afán de complementar la acción exterior desde la vertiente de la sociedad civil.
Nuestro objetivo es el fomento de un mayor contenido de intercambio bilateral desde una aproximación global y en sus más diversos ámbitos: económico, cultural, educativo, legal, etc., contando para ello con programas y actividades propias encaminadas a crear un foco de atención permanente hacia China.
El propio Patronato, órgano de gobierno de la Fundación, refleja esta variedad de intereses al aglutinar a empresas, universidades, ayuntamientos, escuelas de negocios, entidades culturales o deportivas. Su común denominador: constituir en sus respectivos campos destacados referentes de presencia o actividad con China. Al mismo tiempo, diversos departamentos de la Administración integran igualmente el Patronato, facilitando el diálogo y la colaboración público-privada.
