The primary objective of the National JADE association is to make every effort to promote the emergence of innovative responses to the needs of young caregivers and their subsidized parents, so that their situation is recognized, in particular by the public authorities.
The National Jade Association was created following 3 years of JADE-REPIT CINE-REPIT workshops in Essonne. The evaluation of all the labeled JADE devices is entrusted to the psychopathology laboratory and Health process (LPPS) of Paris Descartes University.

L’objectif premier de l’Association nationale JADE est de tout mettre en œuvre pour favoriser l’émergence de réponses innovantes aux besoins de jeunes aidants et de leurs parents aidés, afin que leur situation soit reconnue, notamment par les pouvoirs publics.
L’Association nationale JADE a été créée à la suite de 3 années d’ateliers cinéma-répit JADE en Essonne. Ce dispositif offre un de temps de répit et un lieu d’expression de soi à des enfants et des adolescents qui apportent une aide régulière à un proche parent malade ou en situation de handicap, le plus souvent une mère, mais également un père, une sœur, un frère ou un grand-parent.
Ce dispositif est modélisé pour pouvoir être expérimenté sur l’ensemble du territoire national par des porteurs de projet. L'Association nationale JADE a conçu une méthodologie complète pour une déclinaison territoriale et une prise en main rapide et facilitée par des acteurs locaux qu'elle accompagne dans toutes les étapes de mise en œuvre. Deux structures porteuses d'un dispositif labellisé JADE sont déjà à l’œuvre : L'association Oustal Mariposa avec des ateliers cinéma-répit JADE qui ont démarré pendant les vacances scolaires d'hiver 2019 et la plateforme des aidants de la Fondation Seltzer avec un dispositif ciné-répit JADE qui a démarré au printemps 2019. L'évaluation de tous les dispositifs labelisés JADE est confiée au Laboratoire de Psychopathologie et Processus de Santé (LPPS) de l'université Paris Descartes.
De plus, l'Association porte des actions de mobilisation sociétale autour de la question des jeunes aidants en sensibilisant les acteurs de la santé, du social, du médico-social, de l’éducation nationale, des institutions publiques pour favoriser leur implication, faciliter le repérage et développer l'accompagnement de jeunes aidants
