Japan Energy Fund is a dedicated fund that invests in promising climate tech solutions around the world which have the potential to scale in Japan. We are the only fund from Japan that is purely focused on climate tech and investing in US/European startups.

Our second fund, the Decarbonised Tech Fund, aims to accelerate the realisation of a decarbonised society by investing in critical enabling technologies. The Fund primarily invests in climate tech that helps decarbonise the grid (generation and demand side), electrify transport (e.g., electric vehicles and surrounding infrastructure) and capture carbon. It does so by sourcing leading overseas ventures to invest in, prioritising those that have the potential to accelerate the decarbonisation of the Japanese economy.
