Hérault Arnod Architectures est un atelier de quinze architectes, de profils et nationalités divers, qui partagent une vision exigeante et prospective de l’architecture.
L’atelier développe des programmes publics et privés à toutes échelles : petits objets architecturaux ou projets à dimension territoriale, lieux de travail et d’habitation, équipements, programmes mixtes et commerciaux. À chaque commande, la volonté d’échapper aux solutions convenues ou à la transposition de recettes nourrit une démarche ouverte qui vise à imaginer des réponses inédites : l’architecture tire sa substance de la spécificité du programme et des milieux urbains, péri-urbain, rural, naturel, dans lesquels elles s’inscrivent.
Cette approche systémique révèle les forces et les énergies en présence, la réponse est adaptée à chaque situation. En opérant à partir du milieu avec ses singularités et ses contraintes, les formes produites sont à chaque fois uniques.
La récurrence est dans le processus plutôt que dans le résultat formel.
Salles de concert ou de congrès, théâtres, grands équipements sportifs et culturels, centres commerciaux : les problématiques de flux et de forte fréquentations liées à l’architecture de lieux publics sont devenues une des compétences spécifiques de l’atelier.
