    Created in 2019 in Auxerre, Écollant is a Deeptech start-up specializing in textile and pioneer innovation in closed nylon loop recycling. We have developed the first process in the world to transform used tights into a new coil of nylon thread, thus contributing to a more circular and environmentally friendly fashion.

    In collaboration with industrial clothing and hosiery partners, our research first focused on the stockings, nylon socks and tights, for their homogeneous composition, which mixes nylon and elastane within the same thread.
    After more than two years of laboratory research, our process is now on the way for progressive industrialization, with the aim of setting up a first nylon recycling plant by 2028.

    Écollant : Transformer les déchets textiles en une nouvelle ressource pour un futur durable.

    Créée en 2019 à Auxerre, Écollant est une start-up deeptech spécialisée dans l'innovation textile et pionnière dans le recyclage en boucle fermée du nylon. Nous avons développé le premier procédé au monde permettant de transformer des collants usagés en une nouvelle bobine de fil de nylon, contribuant ainsi à une mode plus circulaire et respectueuse de l'environnement.

    En collaboration avec des partenaires industriels de l'habillement et de la bonneterie, nos recherches ont d'abord porté sur les bas, chaussettes et collants en nylon, pour leur composition homogène, qui mêle nylon et élasthanne au sein d'un même fil.
    Après plus de deux ans de recherche en laboratoire, notre procédé est désormais en route pour une industrialisation progressive, avec pour objectif l'implantation d'une première usine de recyclage de nylon d'ici 2028.
