    FOR fights clichés, unfounded fears and alarmist campaigns that prevent us from opening up and focusing on the future. FOR wants Italy to grow again, making full use of its material and human resources, rediscovering enthusiasm and confidence starting from the crucial sectors of national life.
    We are Optimists because we believe that the future is better than the present, if we decide to lead it. We are Rational because we believe that free thought is the antidote to fear and the key to making Italy grow.

    Questa rappresentazione della realtà è falsa. Oggi si vive di più e meglio di ieri grazie alle conquiste sociali realizzate e ai progressi della scienza; la sicurezza individuale e collettiva è più salvaguardata che in passato; l’equilibrio ambientale è ampiamente tutelato; crescono gli spazi di libertà per centinaia di milioni di esseri umani.
    La Fondazione Ottimisti&Razionali nasce per contrastare questo divario tra la realtà e la sua rappresentazione.
    FOR combatte i luoghi comuni, le paure infondate e le campagne allarmistiche che impediscono di aprirsi e concentrarsi sul futuro. FOR vuole che l’Italia torni a crescere, utilizzando a pieno le sue risorse materiali e umane, ritrovando entusiasmo e fiducia a partire dai settori cruciali della vita nazionale.
    Siamo Ottimisti perché crediamo che il futuro è migliore del presente, se decidiamo di guidarlo. Siamo Razionali perché crediamo che il pensiero libero sia l’antidoto alla paura e la chiave per far crescere l’Italia.
