Plateforme d’exposition, de production, d’édition et de réflexion autour des multiples écritures du
réel, l’ambition du BAL est d’inscrire résolument les arts visuels (photographie, cinéma, vidéo,
nouveaux média) dans une réflexion sur nos sociétés, permettre à tous de mieux comprendre
«de qui et de quoi sommes-nous les contemporains ?» (Giorgio Agamben).
LE BAL est resté fidèle à l’esprit d’investigation et de mobilisation du regard qui a présidé à sa
création. Sa programmation propose de découvrir des artistes concernés et conscients des enjeux
politiques et esthétiques de leurs travaux.
