Water, Environment and Beyond (WE&B) is a non-profit environmental research and consultancy organisation focused on addressing the global challenges of Wise Water Management, Sustainable Food Systems, Conserving and Restoring Nature, and Climate Change. Through Social Innovation, Ecological Business Innovation, and Policy Innovation, we offer tailored solutions for complex environmental issues.

We bring innovation and new knowledge to the social, ecological business, and policy fields by leading projects and work packages in European Commission-funded research and innovation projects. This knowledge drives our advisory and consultancy work for multilateral development organisations. Our core strengths include gathering, analysing, and distilling information (for e.g. into scientific articles, policy reports, government reports, technical documents, visual information materials and communication events) for a diverse range of stakeholders.

WE&B operates, with over a decade of experience, across Europe, the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Our core team of specialists is supported by a network of local experts, ensuring projects are deeply rooted in local knowledge and community needs.

WE&B strongly believes that cooperation at different scales (national, regional and global) is essential to drive sustainable development. We are able to mobilise resources outside of our immediate control through our participation in networked working groups where we achieve our project missions far more efficiently, effectively, and sustainably than by working alone. Our affiliations include the Catalan Water Partnership, Water Europe, the Rural Water Supply Network, the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN), AMWAJ, and the African Circular Economy Network, among others. This networked approach allows us to achieve our mission with greater efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
