🌊 Managing fishing resources with fishermen
With the Pela-MĂ©d program, fishermen committed for the future of the Mediterranean, planet sea acts with and for fishermen with small trades in Var. It is a territory development program, towards sustainable and responsible fishing.
Its objective is to acquire knowledge and data on the resources used, to combat poaching and to optimize the management of coastal fishery resources through co -management.
200 fishermen with small trades follow the program.
🌊 The restoration of degraded marine ecosystems with local populations
The Yaf Keru project which means Corail garden in Indonesian is an ambitious coral reef program in the province of Raja Ampat, an Indonesian archipelago in Western Papuan of 1,500 islands, which houses an incredible profusion of life which makes it one of the "hotspots" of marine biodiversity on the planet from which the reefs are scattered.
Planète Mer is committed to it alongside "The Sea People", a non -governmental organization very well established locally which is the leader of the project.
More than 5,000 corals have already been transplanted with a survival rate of 88%.

🌊 la gestion des ressources de pêche avec les pêcheurs
Avec le programme PELA-Méd, Pêcheurs Engagés pour L’Avenir de la MEDiterranée, Planète Mer agit avec et pour les pêcheurs aux petits métiers du Var. C’est un programme de développement du territoire, vers une pêche durable et responsable.
Il a pour objectif d’acquérir des connaissances et des données sur les ressources exploitées, de lutter contre le braconnage et d’optimiser la gestion des ressources halieutiques côtières à travers la cogestion.
200 pêcheurs aux petits métiers suivent le programme.
🌊 la restauration des écosystèmes marins dégradés avec les populations locales
Le projet Yaf Keru qui signifie jardin de corail en indonésien est un programme ambitieux de restauration de récifs coralliens dans la province de Raja Ampat, un archipel indonésien en Papouasie occidentale de 1500 îles, qui abrite une incroyable profusion de vie qui en fait l’un des “hotspots” de biodiversité marine sur la planète à partir duquel les récifs se sont disséminés.
Planète Mer s’y est engagée aux côtés de “The Sea People”, une organisation non gouvernementale très bien implantée localement qui est le porteur du projet.
Plus de 5000 coraux ont été déjà transplantés avec un taux de survie de 88%.
