Saint-Dizier est une commune française située dans le département de la Haute-Marne et la région Champagne-Ardenne. À mi-chemin entre Paris et Strasbourg sur la RN4, Saint-Dizier est située à 10 km du lac du Der, l’un des plus grands lacs artificiels d’Europe.
À Saint-Dizier, l’histoire de la métallurgie est très ancienne. Elle connaît son apogée au xixe siècle quand des artistes célèbres comme Hector Guimard font appel aux fonderies locales pour réaliser leurs créations. L’industrie métallurgique est toujours présente dans la ville.
La ville est également le berceau des crèmes glacées Miko, créées par Luis Ortiz en 1921. En centre-ville, l’ancien site de l’usine Miko a été transformé en cinéma multiplexe, le Ciné Quai, qui conserve aujourd’hui la tour Miko des années trente. L’usine de crème glacée fonctionne toujours mais a été déplacée vers la zone industrielle.
