Description
  • Value proposition

We’re Salix and we’re on a mission to help save the planet.

We enable, and inspire, public sector organisations to move towards net zero and we support the creation of warmer and healthier homes.

We deliver and administer government funding schemes that support local councils, schools, housing associations, hospitals and universities and many other public sector organisations.

The funding enables them to boost their energy efficiency, reduce their impact on the environment, save money and to remove more households from fuel poverty.

We work with the UK, Scottish and Welsh governments and public sector organisations up and down the country. We’re also supporting the West Midlands and Greater Manchester combined authorities and look forward to working with more as plans for further local devolution in England come forward.

As well as managing the funding schemes, we provide professional advice, expertise and support to the organisations awarded financial resources throughout all stages of their projects.

We also offer insight, intelligence and influence by sharing knowledge and lessons learned from project delivery to help improve future schemes and policy development.

We were created in 2004 and have been growing ever since. In that time, we’ve supported more than 21,000 projects worth over £3.2 billion.
We now employ more than 230 people.

We are committed and passionate about supporting governments to reach their ambitious net zero targets. We are proud and excited to be on the journey with them.

We are wholly owned by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. We have offices at Piccadilly Place in Manchester and at Canary Wharf in London, with our team split between them.
