    The Esters are produced on the Scoury site in Indre, in a factory located in the heart of a regional natural park. BPF accredited, the factory is also certified according to the ISO 9001 and FSC 22000 standards. A hundred employees work on this site, a member of a competitiveness center and playing a central role in the life and employment of the region.

    Créée en 1820, la Stéarinerie Dubois - entreprise familiale - est aujourd’hui reconnue comme le spécialiste français des esters, ces produits que l’on côtoie au quotidien dans bien des domaines : cosmétiques, produits vétérinaires, spécialités pharmaceutiques, alimentaires ou même industrielles!
    Elle réalise 60% de son chiffre d'affaire à l'export et se place aujourd’hui au troisième rang européen des fournisseurs d’esters.
    La Stéarinerie Dubois a depuis 1998 élargi son savoir-faire aux auxiliaires technologiques et aux additifs alimentaires, en y appliquant un même niveau de qualité et de rigueur que pour ses esters, certifiés ISO et BPF.
    Un ester est une molécule organique issue de la combinaison d’un acide carboxylique et d’un alcool. Ces molécules existent à l’état naturel (par exemple les triglycérides d’huiles et graisses) et la Stéarinerie Dubois les obtient par des procédés d’estérification ou de trans-estérification d’huile végétale – des procédés respectueux de l’environnement, réversibles, équilibrés et athermiques, qui vont dans le sens des principes de la chimie verte.
    Les esters sont produits sur le site de Scoury dans l'Indre, dans une usine située au coeur d’un parc naturel régional. Accréditée BPF, l’usine est aussi certifiée suivant les référentiels ISO 9001 et FSSC 22000. Cent collaborateurs travaillent sur ce site, membre d’un Pôle de compétitivité et jouant un rôle central dans la vie et l’emploi de la région.
    Cette usine est certifiée ISO 14001 (Management de l’environnement) ce qui assure que l’on protège et respecte les collaborateurs, mais aussi la nature environnante, l’eau, la faune et la flore...
