Edie's mission is to limit clothing wastage and give fashion clothes from last season an extra chance. We do not sell used clothing. We sell clothes that are so last season and it has its very own sustainable value.
Every year, many resources are spent on designing and making fashion clothes, but part of the clothing goes to waste. These are goods that are completely contemporary and that nothing fails. They have just become too "old" because new collections have been added. At Edie we sell surplus goods online and in our physical store at Østerbro in Copenhagen. Every single day we give clothes that are already produced an extra chance instead of going to waste.
The idea for Edie arose in 2018 when Christina Wiesner, who at that time worked as a lawyer, experienced the lack of a marketing channel for surplus clothing. A channel that makes it attractive for fashion companies to sell their excess items while giving consumers access to new and delicious clothing at fixed good prices. It helps to create a more sustainable value chain - both for the clothing manufacturer and for Edie's customers.

EDIE’s mission er at begrænse tøjspild og give modetøj fra sidste sæson en ekstra chance. Vi sælger ikke brugt tøj. Vi sælger tøj, som er so last season, og det har sin helt egen bæredygtige værdi.
Hvert år bruges der mange ressourcer på at designe og fremstille modetøj, men en del af tøjet går til spilde. Det er varer, som er helt tidssvarende, og som intet fejler. De er bare blevet for “gamle”, fordi der er kommet nye kollektioner til. Hos EDIE sælger vi overskudsvarer online og i vores fysiske butik på Østerbro i København. Hver eneste dag giver vi tøj, der allerede er produceret, en ekstra chance i stedet for at gå til spilde.
Ideen til EDIE opstod i 2018, da Christina Wiesner, der på daværende tidspunkt arbejdede som advokat, oplevede, at der manglede en afsætningskanal for overskudstøj. En kanal, der gør det attraktivt for modefirmaer at sælge deres overskydende varer samtidig med, at forbrugerne får adgang til nyt og lækkert tøj til faste gode priser. Det bidrager til at skabe en mere bæredygtig værdikæde – både for tøjproducenten og for EDIEs kunder.
I dag har EDIE eksisteret i tre år. Vi samarbejder med over 30 dygtige brands, som støtter os i vores mission om at begrænse tøjspild. I vores hænder bliver tøjet behandlet med den respekt, det fortjener. Hos EDIE kalder vi det tøj med omtanke.
