Knowledge Transfer Ireland (KTI) is the national office that helps business to benefit from access to Irish expertise and technology by making it simple to connect and engage with the research base in Ireland.

KTI enables companies to innovate their business by signposting to novel technology and research expertise in Ireland and by providing best practice guidance to simplify the process of accessing this rich source of opportunity.

KTI provides practical resources to support research and development collaboration, consultancy and licensing. It helps companies and investors navigate the expertise and intellectual property available within the publicly funded research base and guides them to the right contacts and information on funding supports available to assist innovation.

The KTI web portal provides a range of tools to support industry working with research organisations in Ireland. These tools include searchable databases of research and expertise, practical reference guides and template agreements to make the process of engagement and contracting simple to understand.

KTI is a partnership between Enterprise Ireland and the Irish Universities Association.
