Le Syndicat Départemental d’Energie 35 (SDE35) est un syndicat mixte composé de communes, d'EPCI et de Rennes Métropole.
Garant du service public de l'électricité et acteur de la transition énergétique, le SDE35 accompagne les collectivités d'Ille-et-Vilaine dans l'aménagement de leurs territoires en contribuant à la modernisation des réseaux électriques dans les communes rurales et à leur dissimulation pour l'ensemble des communes.
Si la mission première et historique du SDE35 reste son investissement sur les réseaux électriques, permettant de garantir une qualité d’électricité homogène sur l’ensemble du territoire, de nouveaux champs d’intervention s’ouvrent au syndicat.
Avec les nouvelles lois de transition énergétique, le SDE35 a étoffé ses missions en développant de nouvelles compétences dans le domaine de l'éclairage public, de la desserte gaz, du déploiement d'infrastructures de recharge pour véhicules électriques et de stations d’avitaillements GNV.
Depuis septembre 2018, le SDE35 propose également de soutenir et développer la production d'énergie renouvelable sur le département grâce à la création d’une société d’économie mixte Energ’iV.
