5 years, 6 months agoWe enable Zero Trust strategies for URL & Web Access Authentication
We see a world in which every person and entity is safe whenever they use the Internet – for work and for pleasure.
With the world’s first data set of verified Internet addresses at scale, our mission is to become the new security protocol for the Internet.
Hackers don’t break in, they login.
90% of all cyberattacks worldwide involve a social engineering technique called “Phishing” - because it’s faster, cheaper, and easier to exploit a person with “click here”, than it is to find and exploit computer-based vulnerabilities.
Even though cybersecurity expenditure and investments are at an all-time high, EVERY year since 2016 has been recorded as the worst year on record for phishing. We believe no person or entity is safe because the entire cybersecurity industry is obsessed with making improvements to security solutions that are flawed by design.
We believe it’s time for the world to try a new approach. The Internet is so vast today that it’s impossible to know what’s safe and what’s not. It’s time to trust no URL, always verified.
Since making the transition from the traditional “threat” security model in December 2017 to Zero Trust, no person or entity has ever fallen for a deceptive link, URL, website, login page, download, or service when protected by MetaCert’s browser extension, or by a security vendor who has integrated our Zero Trust authentication API service.
We are the authority in URL Classification – in 2009, we pioneered the entire concept of classifying and labeling dangerous user accounts, downloads, and folders on safe domain names like github.com dropbox.com and facebook.com. MetaCert founder and CEO Paul Walsh co-instigated the creation of the global standard for URL Classification & Content Labeling at the W3C in 2009 – the global standards body for the World Wide Web, formally replacing PICS as a “Full Recommendation” – the same status as Recommendations that most people are familiar with, such as HTML.

Finally. A company that tells you which links are safe and which websites you can trust. MetaCert takes 1 minute to install and 1 minute to learn how to use it.
