Protecting the Past, Innovating for Tomorrow
ChemiNova aims to develop an intelligent computational system that goes beyond current technologies to improve the conservation, analysis and monitoring of European Cultural Heritage. Using a myriad of data, we tackle structural and chemical damages, focusing on climate change and conflicts. Our value relies on the conviction that we facilitate conservators’ work to the extent that by using a single framework they can document, digitize, classify, and share information for heritage conservation. Our impact lies in the fact that we are not building an ad hoc device, but a technology that is adaptable so that anyone can access it from anywhere. We involve local communities (citizens) in conservation practices, from providing data (citizen science) to raising awareness on the effects of climate change, natural and human hazards affecting cultural heritage.
ChemiNova has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe Framework Programme under grant agreement 101132442.
