L’agence MGAU regroupe aujourd’hui une quinzaine de collaborateurs polyvalents, architectes et architectes-urbanistes. Installée rue Bisson, au cœur du quartier parisien et bigarré de Belleville, elle est organisée autour de Michel Guthmann, architecte urbaniste qui l’a créé en 2005 après un parcours professionnel diversifié d’une quinzaine d’années, de Stéphanie Appert et d'Olivier Barthe, architectes associés depuis 2019.
Nous aimons imaginer la ville de demain, équipée de lieux singuliers, attractifs et vivants ; mêler la recherche et l’expérimentation dans les processus de projet, échanger et partager avec des acteurs engagés et passionnés. Nos chantiers sont le lieu où l’imaginaire se concrétise et s’incarne dans un objet bâti, une architecture simple et sobre, sans artifices ni affectation.
Nous inventons des espaces qui s’adaptent aux différents modes de vie. Nous recherchons la convivialité et le confort dans les logements, les lieux de travail ou dans les équipements scolaires, pour accueillir dans les meilleures conditions possibles toutes les activités humaines, et anticiper l’évolution des besoins.
Nous aimons échanger et confronter nos propositions, pour les enrichir et les approfondir. Nous participons avec plaisir aux démarches de concertation qui permettent de communiquer et expliquer notre travail, et aussi de recueillir les avis et observations de chacun.
