Biophysical monitoring for One Health
DAMOCLES Diagnostics is a deeptech start-up founded in 2023 in Limoges. It develops an innovative technology that allows the measurement of the biophysical properties of a microorganism in a few minutes, without labeling and respecting the living. The first targeted application is the antibiotic sensitivity test (AST) which is very fast and automated.
The innovation is based on the transformation of a proven technology in oncology, adapted to medical microbiology laboratories, both in human and animal health. The DAMAST system includes a machine, a diagnostic software and kits for a wide range of applications in microbiology.
DAMOCLES Diagnostics has validated its DAMAST system on more than 500 bacteria/antibiotic combinations, with performances in accordance with CE-IVD regulations. A second internal clinical study is underway on another panel of bacterial species and antibiotics.
Our team is composed of 8 people with transdisciplinary skills. We are supported by the INSERM U1092 RESINFIT and U1308 CAPTUR laboratories, which gives us privileged access to cutting-edge technical platforms.
Having received many expressions of interest from future customers (private laboratories and hospitals), we aim for the industrialization of the DAMAST system in 2025, followed by the launch of a clinical trial in 2026.

Chez DAMOCLES Diagnostics, start-up #Deeptech fondée en 2023, nous avons développé une plateforme innovante, DAMAST, qui permet de réaliser des antibiogrammes en seulement 2 heures, contre 12 à 24 heures avec les méthodes conventionnelles actuelles.
Notre solution se compose de trois éléments complémentaires :
• Un automate, DAMAST, conçu pour simplifier et accélérer les diagnostics.
• Un logiciel d’analyse automatisée, pour garantir fiabilité et facilité d’utilisation.
• Des kits polyvalents, adaptés à une large gamme d’applications en #SantéHumaine et #SantéAnimale.
Nous accordons une importance particulière à la #SantéVétérinaire, un secteur clé dans la lutte contre l'#Antibiorésistance. Notre technologie répond aux besoins des praticiens vétérinaires, leur permettant de disposer d'outils de #DiagnosticRapide directement au point de soin (#PointOfCare), afin de mieux cibler les traitements et d’optimiser l’usage des antibiotiques.
Grâce au soutien de nos partenaires académiques et à l’expertise de notre équipe de 6 experts transdisciplinaires, nous poursuivons activement nos recherches et le développement de solutions concrètes face aux enjeux de santé publique et animale.

Nous croyons fermement que DAMAST peut faire la différence et contribuer à l’amélioration des pratiques diagnostiques, notamment en #SantéVétérinaire.
