Norsjór was established in early 2021 to solve the significant problem associated with biofouling on ship hulls. In accordance with current and new regulations regarding the in-water removal of biofouling, Norsjór has designed a technology to preserve marine life by using radiation. We are building an advanced subsea laser system to lethally harm biofouling organisms’ cells. Delivering optimal efficiency without any harm to the ecosystem regarding the spread of invasive species, toxins, micro-plastic and heavy metals.
