Amgen GmbH in Munich was founded in 1989 as a sales company. The focus of the approximately 500 employees is on clinical research, approval and distribution of medicines.
Amgen Research (Munich) GmbH is Amgen's largest research location outside the United States with a specialization in innovative cancer therapies. Around 150 employees (as of December 2023) are working on the research and development of Bite® ("Bispecific T-Cell Engager") Molekül.
