Menschen mit und ohne Behinderung sollen ganz selbstverständlich zusammenleben: in der Schule, bei der Arbeit und in der Freizeit. Sie sollen selbst entscheiden, wie sie leben wollen. Und sie sollen die Möglichkeit haben, ihre Fähigkeiten zu zeigen. Damit alle Menschen überall dabei sein können, müssen Barrieren verschwinden. Das heißt zum Beispiel: wo Treppen sind, müssen auch Rampen oder Aufzüge sein. Texte von Ämtern oder Informationen im Internet sollten leicht zu lesen sein.
Mit den Einnahmen aus ihrer Soziallotterie unterstützt die Aktion Mensch jeden Monat bis zu 1.000 soziale Projekte für Menschen mit Behinderung, Kinder und Jugendliche. Damit ist sie die größte private Förderorganisation im sozialen Bereich in Deutschland. Mit Aktionen und Kampagnen informiert sie die Menschen über das selbstverständliche Zusammenleben.
