Cherokee By Choice.

The Cherokee Office of Economic Development (COED) exists to promote economic development in Cherokee County by aiding in the expansion of existing industry and through the attraction of new investment and quality employment opportunities. The community focuses on economic development to create economic opportunity for all citizens, i.e. jobs; stimulate business investment; diversify the public revenue base. COED aids in economic growth by working with existing industries to expand as well as by recruiting additional businesses to the community.

Cherokee County is one in five Georgia Counties identified by the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) as having an Innovation Economy that tops the national average. The average is taken from the Innovation Index sponsored by the U.S. Commerce Department.
