De Wereld van Metaal Kathedraal
Metaal Kathedraal is sinds 2011 het podium, ontmoetingsplek en de werkplaats voor kunst die midden in de samenleving ontwikkelt.
Een monumentaal pand van rijke historie in Leidsche Rijn, tussen stad en platteland, tussen geschiedenis en toekomst. Het grootste probleem waar onze samenleving voor staat is de klimaatcrisis. Wetenschap en techniek leveren cijfers, kunst geeft hart en ziel aan die cijfers en oplossingen. Metaal Kathedraal stelt kunst centraal, als ontwerper van een samenleving die we (kunnen) willen bouwen. Op deze wijze fungeert de Wereld van Metaal Kathedraal als laboratorium met Leidsche Rijn als proeftuin en Utrecht en Nederland als werkveld. Vanuit expertise en breed netwerk wordt intensief samengewerkt om het brede publiek integraal te betrekken bij de actuele ontwikkelingen van deze tijd. We zijn een laboratorium en werkplaats die zich laat leiden door de kennis, kunde en kracht van de natuur om een programmering te bieden voor het realiseren van een stevig fundament in de samenleving. Voor het geloof, nee de overtuiging dat we zelf eigenaar van onze toekomst en een betere en gezonde leefomgeving zijn. De gouden eeuw is nu.
