The agency originated from friendship: before the agency was founded, Jos and Wouter worked together a lot during their education at TU Delft. They found out that you achieve much more with bundled forces than as two individuals. That collaboration is still the starting point of the agency.
The office is located in the historic heart of Utrecht and currently consists of 5 enthusiastic young architects.
As a desk we focus on architecture on different scale levels, both for interior and exterior. Our work can be split into three themes: living, transformation and interior. Our most famous works are the transformation of the Broerenkerk in Zwolle to "Waanders in the Broeren", a renovation and restoration of a 15th century church to a bookstore and restaurant and the project "The old library" a transformation of the former library of TU Delft (built in 1915) into an offshore training center.
In the process of designing and building, we would like to show our enthusiasm for our field and share with our clients. We therefore think it is important that a client thinks along in the design process, that he has the feeling that his assignment is being worked on from the start of the process, on his design. By clearly visualizing the design steps at an early stage, we quickly know how to transfer the concept clear to the customer, making the plan clear and will live.
Thanks to our young and fresh perspective, we can look uninhibited at architecture, without being stuck in fixed patterns. This keeps us constantly looking for creative solutions that match the task.

bkpunt architectuur is een architectenbureau in mei 2008 opgericht door Jos Burger en Wouter Keijzer.
Het bureau is ontstaan uit vriendschap: voordat het bureau werd opgericht werkten Jos en Wouter veel samen tijdens hun opleiding aan de TU Delft. Ze kwamen er daar achter dat je met gebundelde krachten veel meer bereikt dan als twee individuen. Dat samenwerken is nog altijd het uitgangspunt van het bureau.
Het bureau bevindt zich in het historische hart van Utrecht en bestaat op dit moment uit 5 enthousiaste jonge architecten.
Als bureau richten wij ons op architectuur op verschillende schaalniveaus, zowel voor interieur als exterieur. Ons werk is te splitsen in drie thema’s: wonen, transformatie en interieur. Onze bekendste werken zijn de transformatie van de Broerenkerk in Zwolle tot ‘Waanders In de Broeren’, een renovatie en restauratie van een 15e eeuwse kerk tot een boekhandel en restaurant en het project ‘De Oude Bibliotheek’ een transformatie van de voormalig bibliotheek van de TU Delft (gebouwd in 1915) tot een offshore trainings centrum.
In het proces van ontwerpen en bouwen willen wij ons enthousiasme voor ons vakgebied graag etaleren en delen met onze opdrachtgevers. Wij vinden het dan ook belangrijk dat een opdrachtgever meedenkt in het ontwerpproces, dat hij vanaf het begin van het proces het gevoel heeft dat er wordt gewerkt aan zijn opdracht, aan zijn ontwerp. Door in een vroeg stadium de ontwerpstappen duidelijk te visualiseren weten we het concept al snel helder bij de klant over te brengen, waardoor het plan inzichtelijk wordt en gaat leven.
Door onze jonge en frisse blik kunnen wij onbevangen naar architectuur kijken, zonder klem te zitten in vaste stramienen. Hierdoor blijven we constant zoeken naar creatieve oplossingen die passen bij de opgave.
