Listening to and advising adult prisoners in England and Wales

The Prisoners’ Advice Service is the only independent registered charity offering free legal advice and support to adult prisoners in England and Wales.

We do this through our telephone advice line, letters clinic and legal outreach sessions, as well as providing information within the sector.

We do not accept Home Office or Prison Service money as this may affect our independence. The majority of our funding comes from charitable Trusts and Foundations, but we are actively seeking additional support from individual and corporate donors. We are very grateful for contributions of any size.
