Creating value by bringing out innovative and competitive solutions for industry at the confluence of chemistry, the environment and energy, and radiating internationally from a strong regional base, such is the ambition of AXELERA, the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes chemistry-environment competitiveness cluster, created in 2005 by ARKEMA, CNRS, ENGIE, IFP Energies nouvelles, SUEZ and SOLVAY.
AXELERA brings together and coordinates players in industry, research and training in chemistry and the environment, around 5 strategic axes: renewable raw materials, eco-efficient factory, materials and products for industrial sectors, recycling and recyclability, preservation and restoration of natural and urban spaces.
Classified among the high-performance clusters by the State, labeled Gold by the European Union and with a network of 400 members, AXELERA has initiated a strong innovation dynamic, with at the end of 2023 600 projects supported by the cluster and financed for a total amount of €2M (50% private, 50% public).

AXELERA rassemble et coordonne les acteurs de l’industrie, de la recherche et de la formation en chimie et en environnement, autour de 5 axes stratégiques : matières premières renouvelables, usine éco-efficiente, matériaux et produits pour les filières industrielles, recyclage et recyclabilité, préservation et restauration des espaces naturels et urbains.
Classé parmi les pôles très performants par l’Etat, labellisé Gold par l’Union Européenne et fort d’un réseau de 400 adhérents, AXELERA a enclenché une forte dynamique d’innovation, avec à fin 2023 600 projets accompagnés par le pôle et financés pour un montant global de 2M€ (50% privés, 50% publics).
